TO OUR WORLD
The purpose of this webpage is to collect and distribute as much information about the descendents of Isaac Monnet(t) as I can. He came to Indiana in the 1820's from Kentucky. He and Hannah Carland had nine children. Of those Lawson and Harrison were the only sons. I have centered most of my research around them at the present time. Lawson was my great-great-great grandfather. He and Jane Collings were the parents of thirteen children. Their son, John HS Monnett, was my great-great-grandfather. Some of his siblings and their descendants settled in Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Washington and other western states. This is just a place to start. I believe that almost all of the Monnetts in the USA are related. (Not necessarily of my branch.) I would like to have contact with any of their descendants.
In the future I hope to include more features. Such as: access to more family information online, locations where one may find "The Monnet Family Genealogy" by Orra Eugene Monnette, pictures of Monnett family members and/or tombstones and locations, and bring as many branches up to date as possible.
