Jacob Wesner and wife are very low with pneumonia, fearful, as to result.
LATER----- Mrs. Hannah Wesner died Friday morning the 10th and was interr ed
in the Groveland cemetery Sunday. The remains were taken to the Methodi st church
where there was a short and impressive ceremony by the Re v. D. W. Evans after
which they were followed to their last resting pla ce by a large concourse of
relatives and friends.
She was married to Lawson Colling in Shelby County,
Kentucky. Hannah J. Monnett and Lawson Colling had the following
children:

Jacob Wesner died the 23rd inst., after a lingering illness of seven week s.
He was buried with Masonic honors Saturday. He leaves three childr en to mourn
their loss.

A special meeting of the brethren of Groveland lodge, No. 542, F. and A. M.,
was held Mar. 24 at 10 am, and arrangements made preparatory to the fu neral
and interment of our deceased brother Jacob Wesner.
And we, the committee, submit the following in memoriam.
Whereas, the Omnipotent Father in his infinite wisdom, through his pow er has
seen fit to take from us, out of our ranks, our eldest and most bel oved brother,
Wesner, be it
Resolved, That we unanimously concur in the beleif that the ruling moti ve
of his life was to do good to mankind without offence to God or man a nd that
he possessed those ennobling traits of character, justice, freed om and right
in a degree that secured for him the confidence and este em of all who knew him.
Resolved, That while this Lodge deplores the loss of so just upright, pr ompt,
obedient and faithful a brother Master Mason, his children are bere ft of a kind,
dutiful and loving father and his only brother, Samue l, of a sincere and affectionate
friend. The church, too is depriv ed of an efficient member, and humble and devoted
disciple; the communi ty and all his friends of a worthy and useful benefactor.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to two of the l eading
county papers for publication and that a copy of same be present ed to the family
of the deceased.
