H. M. Monnett Passes Away After Stroke
Death Of Well Known Citizen Occurs Thursday Afternoon
Funeral To Be Sunday
Deceased operated shoe repair shop in this city for period of years
Harvey Marion Monnett, age 56 years, well-known owner of a shoe repair s hop
in Greencastle for the past eleven years, died at his home 402 East Ha nna street,
Thursday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock following a cerebral hemorr hage suffered
Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held from the McCurry Funeral Home Sunday after noon
at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. Victor L. Raphael. Interment wi ll be in Forest
Hill cemetery.
The deceased was born near Coatesville the son of Franklin Monnett and L ucy
Miller. He was a member of the Greencastle Presbyterian church.
Besides the widow, Lucy Osborne Monnett, he leaves a son, Robert M. Monn ett,
a senior in Indiana university, five brothers, Charles and Arch ie of Coatesville,
Wilbur of Pittsboro, Garie of North Vernon,Verley of In dianapolis, and a sister,
Mrs. Sarah Powers of Carpentersville.
He was married to Francis Blanche (Lucy) Osborne on Sep 23 1909 in Putnam
